Where are you from and where have you lived? I'm from Elizabethtown, PA and lived there until I was 16 when I moved to NC. I lived in Charlotte for a few years then moved to Raleigh.
What do you love most about working in dentistry? Helping people. Even though I'm not physically helping patients, I love being on the insurance and billing end of it all and helping patients that way. It's gratifying to me to be able to help get patients the treatment and smile they want and deserve by talking with their insurance companies and ensuring they receive the benefits they're paying for.
What is your go-to coffee or tea order? Coffee is a caramel cold brew and tea is a hot peppermint tea.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Salted caramel!
Do you have any pets? Three cats - Lilith, Gravy, and Yoda.
What is one thing people are surprised to learn about you? I'm red/green colorblind!
What is a piece of advice you live by? "Don't carry past hurts into present joys."

Where are you from and where have you lived? I grew up in Williamsburg, VA, and later lived in Morgantown, WV, while I completed college at West Virginia University. In 2021, I moved to Raleigh looking for a bigger city with more to do, and I’ve loved it ever since.
What do you love most about working in dentistry? I love the one-on-one time with patients. It’s nice to build a rapport, get to know about their lives, and check in with them at each visit. It’s really rewarding to build trust with patients and be part of improving their oral health and confidence in their smiles.
What is your go-to coffee or tea order? I actually don’t drink coffee or tea—I’m not much of a caffeine person! I usually go for water or something refreshing instead.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Cookies and cream.
Do you have any pets? I don’t have any pets right now.
What is one thing people are surprised to learn about you? One thing people are surprised to learn about me is that I’ve never broken a bone… and I’m hoping to keep it that way!
What is a piece of advice you live by? Everything happens for a reason—have faith in the bigger picture.

Where are you from and where have you lived? I am from Hatteras, NC. A small coastal town on the Outer Banks. Aside from visiting home, I have lived in Raleigh most of my life and lived in Wilmington for a couple of years.
What do you love most about working in dentistry? What I love most is meeting all different types of people, and not only getting to make a real difference in their lives, but also to change how they view going to the dentist.
What is your go-to coffee or tea order? Whatever is the strongest
What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Vanilla is still the best
Do you have any pets? I don’t have any pets.
What is one thing people are surprised to learn about you? I am ambidextrous but chose to write left handed. I’m a huge nerd when it comes to philosophy, psychology, history, and science.

Where are you from and where have you lived? I grew up in Northwestern, OH. I have lived near San Diego, CA, Lake Norman area near Charlotte, NC, and Wilmington, NC, until recently moving to Raleigh.
What do you love most about working in dentistry? Being in management most of my career has afforded me to experience dentistry as a whole. Helping the patient have a smooth and positive experience from a business aspect and being fortunate to work with great doctors and amazing teams of people that truly care about keeping patients healthy and pain-free. The combination of these things is very rewarding because I feel that we are making a real impact in people’s lives.
What is your go-to coffee or tea order? French vanilla latte with oat milk. I wouldn’t be mad if there was a little cinnamon sprinkled on top.

What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Oddly, it is mint chocolate. I say this because it is only time that I eat chocolate!
Do you have any pets? I have an 18-year-old dog named Toby that I believe is a mix of Chihuahua, Corgi, and Pekingese.
What is one thing people are surprised to learn about you? I am an adrenaline junkie. Parasailing, skydiving, zip lining, race days at the track, canyon jumping, roller coasters etc.
What is a piece of advice you live by? Everyone has a backstory and every one contributes in their own way. Meet people where they are now but respect where they have been. Their experiences and viewpoints may be way different than yours but that’s how we learn, understand and grow.

What is one thing people are surprised to learn about you? Usually that I have a lot of animals and have had 2 pet squirrels as a child.

Where are you from and where have you lived? I was born in Cambridge, MA, and moved to NC when I was 3 years old.
What do you love most about working in dentistry? I love learning new things, so I find learning about treatments and how they work very fun.
What is your go-to coffee or tea order? Recently, my go-to coffee order is a Dunka latte from Dunkin Donuts with one pump of Vanilla flavoring and one pump of Toffee Nut flavoring.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor? I don't have one, but the first one that came to mind is Ube-flavored ice cream.
Do you have any pets? I have one Mini Australian Shepherd named Luna.
What is one thing people are surprised to learn about you? I can speak three languages.
What is a piece of advice you live by? I have too many to count but one that is on my mind recently is from my older brother. He told me, "If you fail who cares? Do something else and be happy. Don't be paralyzed by indecision." Safe to say, that piece of advice lit something in me that I didn't know I had.

Where are you from and where have you lived? I'm a NC native from Pittsboro, and still live in Chatham county.
What do you love most about working in dentistry? I love being a part of helping patients find confidence in their smiles again, and I enjoy educating patients about their oral health.

What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Ben and Jerry's Half Baked, or anything Oreo.
Do you have any pets? I have three cats Autumn, Floofy, and Gray.
What is one thing people are surprised to learn about you? I am an amateur storm chaser, and my dream is to witness a tornado again. I saw a water spout as a child, and I want to see a tornado again. Also, I went to culinary school in 2007 and met my bestie/coworker Shelly there while we were both on the waiting list for dental assisting school.

Where are you from and where have you lived? I am from Hillsborough, NC. I moved to Florida in college for 4 months while working for Disney as an intern.
What do you love most about working in dentistry? When a patient says "I can never smile or laugh without covering my mouth with my hands when I talk or laugh." The doctors here are able to restore smiles to bring the patient confidence back enough to smile again. Also, changing a patient’s perspective of the dentist being a scary place because after they come to our office the patients will begin to say, "You know I actually enjoy coming to visit y'all. I’m not afraid anymore.”
What is your go-to coffee or tea order? Different every time. Usually seasonal ice coffees with flavored cold foam.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor? The Tonight Dough from Ben & Jerry's.
Do you have any pets? I have a Chocolate Lab named Buxton, a Chameleon named Casper, a Duck named Quackers, 9 Chickens, Salt water fish tank, and a Goldfish pond.
What is one thing people are surprised to learn about you? That I went to culinary school prior to dental assistant school and I like to bake sweets. I met my best friend Jill there in 2011 and we currently work here at Britt Dental together. Also, I was born on leap day and I'm actually 8 years old.
What is a piece of advice you live by? Tell your family you love them and don't go to bed angry. You never know when it could be your or their last day on earth.

Where are you from and where have you lived? I am from Goldsboro and I have lived in Goldsboro, Frisco, and Raleigh, NC.
What do you love most about working in dentistry? I am a people person and I love that I get to spend my day making connections with people.
What is your go-to coffee or tea order? Iced brown sugar oat milk shaken expresso and for tea I like a Matcha Latte or Iced Chai Tea.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Plain ole Chocolate with fresh strawberries if available.
Do you have any pets? Yes. My bestie is my dog named Moo.
What is one thing people are surprised to learn about you? That I am not a girly girl and that I’ve been a hygienist for closing in on 30 years.
What is a piece of advice you live by? Always go with your gut. The head can sometimes over or under analyze and the heart can act on emotion, but that gut intuition is usually spot on.
