Intra-Oral Cameras
Intra-oral cameras are an excellent means of allowing the patient to view potential dental conditions in their own mouth. It is much easier to understand what is happening in your mouth if you can see the problem on a computer monitor. This digital image can be utilized to provide information to insurances and other doctors if necessary.
Using an intra-oral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained. With the images produced by the intra-oral camera, patients can see each of their teeth and dentists can indicate problems such as broken teeth, plaque, decay, gum disease, defective fillings, and so on to provide information to insurances and other doctors if necessary.
Britt Dental Center utilizes intra-oral camera technology that helps enhance your understanding of your diagnosis. An intra-oral camera is a very small camera. In some cases, an intra-oral camera is just a few millimeters long. An intra-oral camera allows our practice to view clear, precise images of your mouth, teeth, and gums, in order for us to accurately make a diagnosis. With clear, defined, enlarged images, you see details that may be missed by standard mirror examinations. This can mean faster diagnosis with less chair-time for you!
Intra-oral cameras also enable our practice to save your images in our office computer to provide a permanent record of treatments. These treatments can be printed as for you, other specialists, and your lab or insurance companies.
